The Newton Mid-Kansas Symphony Orchestra presents its annual chamber concert, “Summer Winds,” Sunday, June 7 at 3:00 p.m. in the Hesston Mennonite Church. Winds and brass take the stage as a flute quartet, woodwind trio, wind sextet, and brass quintet, play works by Barber, Mozart, Weber and Castérède. Tickets: Adults $15-20, Students $7, available at Faith and Life Bookstore, online at www.nmkso.org and at the door day of the concert.

Weights (50 minutes) (Ages 12 and up): Weights class is designed to teach participants proper and safe lifting techniques and weight room safety/etiquette. Participants can expect to lift weights appropriate for their age, learn about a variety of equipment and proper use, and engage in workouts. Weight classes maintain a 1:8 ratio with a single instructor supervising and instructing less than 8 participants at a time. Due to the smaller class sizes participants get one-on-one attention and learn how to function in a weight room setting safely for their age.

Energize and Refresh. Camp is designed with cheerleaders in mind. Bring your team to the next level by training with our experienced staff. Camp consists of motion and chant work, tumbling, stunt development and group communication, conditioning drills, spirit/crowd involvement, and team bonding exercises. This is a suitable option for teams or individuals wishing to gain more cheer experience. Participants will be divided by grade level and taught age-appropriate skills. This is a 4-hour camp and participants should be able to handle the camp duration. Suitable for ages 2nd grade and up. All instructors are USA Cheer certified, experienced, and First Aid/CPR certified and trained

Refine. Strengthen. Elevate. Camp specifically focuses on gymnastics and tumbling development. Let your budding gymnast work towards their goals in a fun, energetic, and skill building environment. Camp includes a 20-minute dynamic warm-up complete with tumbling and shaping drills, 45-minute tumbling training, 15-minute snack break, 45-minute event training (bars, beam, or vault), 30-minute conditioning and fundamentals, a 15-minute group challenge, and a 15-minute cool down and confidence reflection session. Enrolled gymnasts will be divided by skill level. Ages 5 and up can enroll. All Instructors are USAG Certified, experienced, and CPR/First Aid certified and trained

Teens (ages 10-18) are encouraged to sign up for Newton Public Library's Summer Reading challenge. Log your minutes and earn prizes! The goal? Read 800 minutes between June 1st - July 25th. But guess what... you get a prize for every 100 minutes you read. There's also a pizza party for teens who read 800 minutes and a bunch of bigger prizes you could win. Attending teen events gets you extra opportunities to win the BIG prizes. Please be sure to check out all of our fun events planned for teens this summer at NPL! :)

It will be a fun environment that will give your kids a great experience in basketball while having fun with their friends, college players, and coaches. It is a fun uplifting environment that will have your kids begging to come back again next year!

LegoCamp2026 (PDF)

Newton High School's RaileRobotics team is hosting Lego Camp for ages 8-12 this summer July 7-11, 2026. Students will work in groups along side our Newton High School students to design, build, and code Lego robots to compete on a challenge course on the Saturday of the camp. High school robotics students will help to mentor our younger students on the engineering process and team work. There are two sessions of the camp: ages 8-9 will be from 8am-11am Tuesday July 7-Saturday July 11. Ages 10-12 will be from 12pm-3pm Tuesday July 7-Saturday July 11. The event will take place in the RaileRobotics building which is located behind the main campus of Newton High School near the Brooks Trade Center. The registration fee is $150 for the week. Parents are invited to come see the challenge course on Saturday. Our spots are limited and you can register on the google form on the flyer or by contacting the robotics email at: railerobotics@gmail.com. We hope you can join us!

You are invited to come to a night of music and fun celebrating the arts! The Fine Arts Booster Club is hosting our first Concert in the Park event on Saturday May 30 from 7-9pm. We will be featuring local artists with the hopes to inspire our youth to continue to keep the arts in their future whether as a full time career or as a part time activity. Local artists include high school junior Nic Bergman, South Breeze principal Joey Menninga, Engineering teacher and wrestling coach John Werner, and the Flannelbacks who have connections to Newton and teach in Goessel. Tickets are available for pre-sale at $6.00 at this website: Concert in the Park. We will also have a variety of school and community groups selling food to enjoy during the concert. Gates open at 6:15pm and the concert will start at 7pm. We hope you will join us in a musical evening!

Rainforestfalls (PDF)

We hope your kids are going to step through the mist of the rainforest and plunge into discovering more about the nature of God with us at our VBS this summer! The fun at Rainforest Falls VBS will start at 6:30 pm and go to 9:00 pm (pre-school dismissed at 8:30). There is a FREE meal served for the entire family each evening starting at 5:45!
